The program is intensive with a lot of home work as well as some practical classes out and about; Like a trip in a bus, lunch at a restaurant etc, etc. The purpose of that is to learn English that is used in normal conversation as opposed to just keep working with a book. We also work with youtube clips throughout our sessions.
Student is encouraged to try to speak
whatever they can from the very first class.
The whole program of 20 weeks is
divided into 10 biweekly Terms. Each week there are 3 sessions of 2 hours each.
First two sessions of every week are
intensive learning sessions. The third session is Follow-up and TEST
session. Therefore through this methodology participant goes through 10 Tests
before the end of Program.
Each Term has its unique goals that
are tailor-designed according to the need of that particular individual.
However there is a generic sequence for a very basic participant that is
utilized in case of absolute beginning.
During the whole course 80% of time
is spent in listening and speaking. However professional written communication
is also one of the segments of the program.
Another segment deals with increasing
ability to communicate while utilizing media. In that segment practice of
listening to cell phone calls, teleconference calls etc in English is mastered.
The learning
curve throughout the course on average is as it is shown in the graph below:
In the first three Terms, participant feels the most pressure in
terms of effort and then it starts easing. However by seventh Term an average
participant is communicating reasonably well in most situations.
